Dr Lisa Cameron MP has joined with the members of the John Hastie Museum Trust for the official opening of their Covid-19 Memorial Archive in Strathaven.
The Archive is being hosted at the Climate Action Strathaven Hub in Green Street. It features pictures designed by Primary and Secondary School children across Avondale depicting their experience of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Lisa said “It was extremely poignant to visit the official opening of the Covid-19 Archive. I know just how much work has gone into compiling the children’s experiences that will mark the Archive’s initial publication regarding impact of the pandemic locally for people across Avondale. Special thanks must go to Margo and the other Trustees who have put in so much effort collating this historic period for posterity”.
